Clayton Horton
Authorized Ashtanga Teacher
Clayton Horton is the Director of Greenpath Yoga in San Francisco California. He has been a student of yoga for over 22 years and began teaching in 1996. He is a student of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and the Greensufi. His practice is deeply rooted in the Ashtanga Tradition and daily meditation.
He is a member of the Board of Directors at the Yoga Society of San Francisco Brahmananda Ashram and a Founding Board Member of the Green Yoga Association. Clayton received Formal Authorization to teach Ashtanga Yoga from the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute of Mysore, South India in 2003.
Clayton lives and teaches in San Francisco, California. He travels regularly to Asia, Europe and South America to teach workshops, trainings and retreats.
Magnolia Zuniga
Authorized Ashtanga, and Ayurveda & Yoga Nidra Teacher
Magnolia Zuniga attended her first yoga class in 1990. She moved to Los Angeles in 1994 and began studying Ashtanga Yoga under the guidance of Noah Williams and Kimberly Flynn. By 2001 she moved to the San Francisco Bay area to study Non-Dual Tantra, and Ayurveda within the Saraswati lineage (Swami Sivananda, Swami Satyananda, Swami Rudrananda). It was during this time that she began to understand the true nature of the teacher-student relationship. It's a relationship involving love, trust and responsibility. It's a choice to extend beyond the horizons of the mind.
In 2004, Magnolia traveled to Mysore, South India and met Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and his grandson Sharath Rangaswamy. Tantra and Ayurveda continue to be the foundation of her life; an on going practice of perception into the self and ultimately into the world.
Pablo Alvarez
Teacher of Hatha, Yin, Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and Restorative Yoga
Pablo Alvarez is an international instructor who is passionate about yoga, music and meditation. As a musician, he has received master classes from world-renowned classical guitarists and has performed all over the world. As a yoga teacher, he has taught in Cuba, Mexico, China and US where he has offered workshops, written articles and has had a series of television classes.
He trained in Hatha Yoga from 1998 to 2002 with the cuban yoga teacher Rudra (Ernesto Carulla) and Eduardo Pimentel. At this time also practiced Kundalini Yoga. In 2003, he studied Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga with Baptiste Marceau in Mexico. He got certified in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and taught at It's Yoga in San Francisco in 2004. In March of 2005 he founded the Dharma Yoga Studio in Oaxaca, Mexico.
He has also trained with many teachers such as Dharma Mittra and Swami Maytreyananda. Pablo practices meditation in the Buddhist tradition of the Karma Kagyu Lineage since 2002, receiving blessings and initiations from many important dharma teachers including H.H. the 17th Karmapa.
He currently lives and works in Shanghai, China for Y+ yoga studio and continues to pursue his own musical projects. The styles he can teach are Hatha, Yin, Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and Restorative Yoga.
Michelle Anderson
Teacher of Hatha Yoga: Skill and Synthesis
Michelle Anderson began practicing and studying yoga in 1991, and has been teaching since 2002. She studies several styles of Hatha yoga with some of the world's leading teachers in each lineage, including: Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga with Richard Freeman; Iyengar yoga with Manouso Manos, Gabriella Giubilaro, Laura Allard, Tias Little, Aadil Palkhivala, and Matthew Sanford; Anusara yoga with John Friend, Desiree Rumbaugh, and many local teachers.
Michelle's best teacher is her living yoga practice of 18 years. Recently, she has broadened her studies to include therapeutics, yoga for women survivors of breast cancer, Ayurveda, and herbal healing, and is studying Sanskrit and jyotisha (Vedic astrology) with Dr. Katyayani Poole.
Her personal teaching style reflects this broad background and she has recently named this body of work Hatha Yoga: Skill and Synthesis. Students report that Michelle's classes feel authentic, creative, applicable to their current mind-body state, and complete. They are always taught with sensitivity, alignment, and humor.
Pete Guinosso
Teacher of Vinyasa Flow and Forrest Yoga
Pete GUinosso brings over 30 years of fitness experience to his yoga teaching. He graduated from the Forrest Yoga Teacher Training in 2006 and is continuously inspired by the students in his class, the teachings of Vipassana (Insight) Meditation, and Ana Forrest. He recently assisted Ana Forrest for a month during the Forrest Yoga Teacher Training and has over 600 hours of training with Ana Forrest.
Pete’s classes are a journey towards connecting the body, mind, and spirit by practicing a vigorous asana while integrating breath work and awareness. His joyful energy, sense of humor, and spiritual insight create an environment for his students to uncover the deeper benefits of the yoga practice.
Geoffrey Roniger
Teacher of Hatha & Therapeutic Yoga
Geoffrey Roniger is well known in the San Francisco Bay Area for his unique ability to blend alignment, movement and metaphor with the deeper intention of explaining the relevance of yoga for our contemporary culture. A dedicated practitioner for over 13 years, he graduated from Piedmont Yoga Studio’s 18-month Advanced Studies Program in 2003 and then apprenticed extensively with his primary teacher, Rodney Yee.
Geoffrey has been the on-site yoga teacher for Salesforce.com since 2005, has served on the teacher training staff at the Yoga Loft since 2006, and leads regular retreats to OZ Farm in Mendocino. Geoffrey has recently been appointed to the faculty for Urban Zen’s Integrative Therapy Program in New York, which has successfully implemented modified yoga techniques for cancer patients at Beth Israel Memorial Hospital. He lives in Marin with his wife and son, and is an avid outdoorsman as well as a connoisseur of fine food.
David Lurey
Teacher of Vinyasa Flow and Transformational Yoga
David was introduced to Yoga in 1996 as a way to tone his body and relieve work related stress. Using those as a foundation for building an asana practice, the other limbs of Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga began to unfold leading him to the path of teaching transformational Yoga. David's teachers include Eddie Modestini and Nicki Doane, David Swenson, and Clayton Horton. In 2008 David became a Level I Certified Acro-Yoga teacher and in 2009, David acquired his Level II Certified AcroYoga, which he incorporates this playful practice into his workshops and retreats.
Since 2000, David has taught extensively around the San Francisco Bay Area at Greenpath Yoga, Yoga Tree San Francisco and The San Francisco Bay Club. As Assistant Director of Greenpath Yoga, David co-led the Greenpath 200 hour certified Yoga Teacher Training Program with his good friend and studio director, Clayton Horton. He co-created a donation based weekly Kirtan gathering that is still happening and has become a respected Yoga community leader in the Bay Area.
David is currently living out his life’s purpose to ‘Inspire Health and Vitality’ by teaching and touring extensively through Brazil the United States and Europe sharing the teachings of Yoga.
